(You): On blogspot, how do I create a multipage blog entry? So people can see the 1st page as is, but have to click “next page” each time to get to the next page?
(Marco): Did you try the <!–next–> tag? It *should* break the post. <!–more–> probably only works once/page.
(You): that what tag? I think the angle brackets got lost in your answer.
(Marco): Look at http://paste.ideaslabs.com/show/wwVnDDLTmq
(You): nice, thanks! I’ll try it.
(You): I think it’s –more– but thanks :)
(Marco): Always thought the “more” tag would only work on the front page :o Good to know. Thanks for your feedback :)
(You): woops, that didn’t work either, rats. http://www.google.com/support/blogger/bin/answer.py?answer=154172 [http://www.google.com/support/blogger/bin/answer.py?answer=154172] is what I’m looking at.
(Marco): Weird… look at http://www.jonespc.com/how-to-make-a-multi-page-blog-post-like-the-pros/2008/08/04/ Seems it work*ed* in the past
(Marco): Forget it :-( The blog post was about WordPress and not Blogspot :( Sorry.
(You): rats. Hmmm, then again, wordpress.com has free blogs too, no?
(Marco): Yes, but there you can only use themes they offer. No way to upload custom made themes. At least not for free.
Maybe Weebly is an alternative? But Weebly is probably too basic.
(You): well, I’m happy w/ WordPress for now… actually, I think I have my own install and am not using wordpress.com (wordpress.vonappleknocker.com is mine)
(Marco): Hm.. you could use some free web host that allows custom WordPress installations. That might be a solution…
(You): actually, I think mine is on fatcow and I’m getting it free for some odd reason.
(Marco): Well then yes.. stick with WordPress and maybe a custom installation on your webspace.
I’m using WordPress since 4 or 5 years. Tried so many so-called alternatives… but always went back to good old WordPress lol.
(You): cool. I hand coded a blog once, back before they become uber-popular.
