When I attach a USB drive to my Intel Mac (running OS X), it recognizes the drive in a couple of minutes. Is there anyway I can speed up this process, or at least see what process it’s using to mount the drive?

(Aron): I doubt it on a mac. But it shouldn’t take that long

(You): thanks. I was thinking something like fsck might be the problem.

(Ramesh): there is a software tool named as “USBsafelyremove” google and download it. It may help you.
